A Poem I just Wrote.

Tonight, I was responsible for preventing the suicide of a friend of mine. A few moments ago, I wrote this for that friend.

Grace In Our Lives

We were given grace
When God sent His Son to die
And that same grace now
Is what I give to you

You had a moment of weakness
Much like all of us sometimes do
You did what you felt you needed
Even though it wasn't best

You say that you don't deserve me
You don't deserve my heart and soul
But I disagree with you on this one
Because you just need to heal

Your heart is important
It's what makes you who you are
And if I ever lost that part of you
I don't know just what I would do

You've always cared for me
You were sent from heaven for me
And now it's my turn to be
An angel and to bring you my love again

Courage + Belief = Life

I can see that was from the heart. As one who spent 36 hours in the psych ward for saying something that indicated self destruction a couple of years ago, I can say that friends can be very precious.

And you're a good poet.

I'd say your friend is lucky to have you, and may now realize how important you are and that they are needed too.
